Germany, Third Reich. A Civil Service 40-Year Faithful Service Cross With Case Auction Archive measuring 65 mm (w) x(Treuedienst Ehrenzeichen fr 40 Jahre). Instituted 30 January 1938. (1938 1942 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse with a central black swastika, the reverse with a central inscription of FR TREUE DIENSTE (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE), with an oak leaf wreath through the quadrants, unmarked, measuring 41. 38 mm (w) x 46. 08 mm (h),
